Most preserving kits come as sets of 8-10 loaded with extra plastic pieces you will never use.

So we made a set of the three most important ones.

Jar lifter. Curved arms with a grip coating that hold a full jar securely as it comes out of the boiling water bath. No tipping, no scalded fingers.

Tongs. For lifting hot lids and seals out of the pot and setting them cleanly on the jar rim.

Lid wrench. Tighten or loosen screw bands and lids on canning and preserving jars safely and with less hand strain, helping you achieve the correct, snug tightness or help loosen tight bands.

Presented in a bespoke box, so the set is ready to gift as it is or keep for yourself

Care Instructions

Hot soapy water and a soft cloth. Hand wash rather than putting them through the dishwasher for prolonged care.

Lid wrench: 27 x 7.5 x 1cm.

The tools are stainless steel. The handles have a PVC grip, which is what makes them safe to hold with a hot jar in them. Nothing plastic touches your food. We chose three stainless steel tools over the usual ten piece kits precisely to keep the plastic out of the parts that matter.

Unlike all of the cheaper scouring pads- this is actually PURE 100% copper. We are using it for cleaning extrusion dies in a pharmaceutical setting and it was surprisingly hard to find a decent product that wasn't just thinly coated steel.
