CARING FOR YOUR WOODEN CLOTHES DRYING RACKS

  • Wooden drying racks have been around for a long time, a little love will keep your rack looking its best and last you longer.
  • Allow rungs to dry in between loads. In the event of black speckles (mold spores/ oxidisation) place the rack in the direct hot sun to kill the spores. You may rub a little white vinegar on the rungs. NEVER use bleach.
  • Wooden drying racks are not designed for typical outdoor use (especially rain!). We heavily recommend storing your drying rack inside only.

  • Sanding the rungs lightly keeps them soft and snag free. Rub clean after sanding.
  • A bit of wear and ageing is to be expected with frequent use as the wood will absorb moisture if used very regularly. It's all a part of the charm.
  • If you're concerned about moisture affecting your drying rack, we recommend using MAXWAX which is available to purchase from hardware stores.
