I’m working this basket hard with large loads of laundry every week and it’s far superior to my previous (plastic) tubs. Love the creaking noise and feel of the handles. I have no doubt this is going to last, really happy with my purchase.

I have waited a long time to get this and it hasn’t disappointed. I wanted to replace my broken plastic basket with something that would last a lifetime. Absolutely love this basket. Very sturdy and stylish. A couple of the sticks do catch on the clothes and there is a silver tie or wire that looks like it was used to help weave the basket together on the side, but it is handmade so I understand this. I definitely would buy again.

Over the years we have had a wicker laundry basket that we inherited from my wife’s mother. It has lasted the test of time. We have been looking for one for quite a while for our daughter. I happened upon The Waste Free Home website. Lo and behold there it was. After reading about where it came from and how it was made I ordered one. Our daughter is over the moon with it. She has had numerous plastic ones that constantly break and then it’s a problem getting rid of it because of the plastic content and harm to the environment. It will become a hand me down in her family I’m sure as it is a sturdy and well made basket. I can see now that when my wife and I have left this mortal realm she will end up with two of them. Not content with purchasing the basket I spied woven place mats. Something I remember our household having when I was a kid. Something I duly purchased eight of them to add to the order. They are easy to clean and don’t fall apart like the cheap ones you get in the cheaper stores. One may pay a little extra but what price quality and longevity. Many thanks TWFH. Fantastic products.

Great size, handles full load of family washing with ease and comfortable to carry. Loses one star due to rough / sharp rattan ends on the inside bottom surface of the basket which is not conducive to delicate/woolen clothing due to potential snagging
