Kawakawa Balm - A Natural Healing Balm

A multi-purpose soothing balm, based on the traditional use of Kawakawa for irritations, abrasions, and inflammation. Kawakawa leaves naturally have high anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and analgesic properties, making their extracts incredibly beneficial for relieving skin issues. Made with Sweet Almond and Mānuka Oil, and beeswax from Aoteas own bee hives, this Kawakawa Balm is the natural and native skincare remedy that is perfect for dry lips, skin irritations (eczema and psoriasis), bites, sores, and nappy rash.

Science
Macropiper Excelsum, better known as Kawakawa, is incredibly healing. Research shows that it decreases inflammatory markers of nitric oxide as it possesses the bioactive constituents Myrsitcin and Diayangambin, which are anti-inflammatory. When your Aotea Kawakawa Balm is applied the bioactive properties seep into the inflamed or damaged tissue to reduce swelling and aid the healing process. Further, the beeswax creates a natural protective seal and the mānuka oil is deeply cleansing.
